Terms of sale
Version 1 (v1), in force since 8 November 2026. Permanent address of this version: https://adventdoors.com/en/terms/v1
In short
This summary is here to help; it does not replace the articles below.
- You create a 3D Advent calendar for free, preview it, then pay to activate it and give it.
- The calendar is activated as soon as you pay. The person who receives it opens one door a day, from 1 to 24 December 2026, and can access it until 31 January 2027.
- Because activation is immediate, you waive your right of withdrawal by ticking the box provided.
- You are responsible for what you put in the calendar: you must have the right to use the photos, and the consent of the people in them (and of their parents for a child).
- Any question: contact@adventdoors.com.
Article 1. Who we are
The Advent Doors service is sold by Lieven Solutions:
- email: contact@adventdoors.com;
- SIREN: 810 576 587 (French National Business Register, RNE);
- VAT not applicable, Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (Code général des impôts).
In these terms, "we" means the seller; "you" means the buyer; the "recipient" is the person to whom the calendar is given.
Article 2. Scope
2.1. These terms of sale (the "Terms") apply to every purchase on adventdoors.com: single calendar and pack of three calendars. They include the content rules, which form part of them.
2.2. The service is intended for adult consumers buying for their personal needs. A business may buy it; the provisions reserved for consumers then apply only insofar as the law requires.
2.3. Sales area. The service is sold to buyers who pay with a payment method issued in a country of the European Union. If a payment comes from another country, we refund it in full automatically and the calendar is not activated. The calendar itself may be given to a recipient who lives elsewhere.
2.4. Versions. Each version of the Terms has a number and never changes once published; all remain available at their permanent address (/en/terms/v1, /en/terms/v2…). Each order, and each activation of a calendar with a credit, is governed by the version you accepted at that time. A new version never applies to an order already placed.
Article 3. The service
3.1 The editor
Without creating an account, you create one or more calendars: you choose a template or a blank calendar, a 3D scene, then the content of the 24 doors (notes, memories with a photo, vouchers, quizzes, riddles, links to a song, countdowns, voice recordings, a photo to rebuild as a puzzle, etc., depending on the types offered in the editor). You can preview everything for free before paying.
So as not to lose a calendar in progress, you can give your email address: we send you a link to get back to it. A draft without an email address is kept on your device and on our servers, then deleted 30 days after your last visit, and at the latest on 31 January 2027.
3.2 Activation and sharing
Payment activates the chosen calendar. You then receive:
- a private link and an access code specific to the calendar and, if you chose one, a PIN that protects it;
- a printable card with a QR code that presents the link: it has no monetary value and is not a gift card in the banking sense;
- your choice: you share the link yourself, or we send the recipient an announcement email on the date and at the time you chose, with your short message. You can change or cancel this email until it is sent.
You can replace the link with a new one at any time (the old one then stops working) and edit the doors that have not yet been opened.
3.3 The recipient's calendar
- The doors open one a day, from 1 to 24 December 2026, at the opening time shown in the editor (midnight by default), in the recipient's time zone that you chose. A door cannot be opened before its day.
- Doors from past days can still be opened: a calendar activated after 1 December therefore opens with the doors of the days already past.
- If you gave their address, the recipient can receive an email each morning with the link of the day; they can stop it in one click. They can also accept notifications from their browser or phone.
- The calendar remains accessible until 31 January 2027 at 23:59 (Paris time).
- From 4 to 31 January 2027, you can download your calendar (a standalone page with the 24 cards and the photos). We remind you by email.
- On 31 January 2027, the calendar content (texts, photos, recordings) is permanently deleted. Keep your originals: we do not keep photos in their original size.
3.4 The pack of three
The pack gives three credits. Each credit activates one calendar. Credits can be used until 24 December 2026. A credit not used by that date expires without refund; you may however withdraw for unused credits within 14 days of buying the pack (Article 8.3).
3.5 What you need
- An internet connection and a recent browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox or Edge, in a version less than two years old).
- The 3D scene requires a WebGL-compatible device, as almost all recent phones, tablets and computers are. Otherwise, the calendar is shown in a simplified two-dimensional version, with the same doors.
- Photos accepted: JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 15 MB. HEIC photos sent from a computer are not accepted; an iPhone converts them automatically from Safari.
- No app is required. If an app exists for your device, it is optional and free.
- The limits of each type of door (text length, number of questions…) are shown in the editor.
Article 4. Prices
4.1. Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included. VAT not applicable, Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code. No fee is added at payment.
4.2. Prices in force on the date of this version:
| Product | Price |
|---|---|
| One calendar | €5.99 |
| One calendar, launch price until 29 November 2026 inclusive | €4.99 |
| Pack of three calendars (three credits) | €14.99 |
| Pack of three calendars, launch price until 29 November 2026 inclusive | €12.99 |
4.3. The price to pay is the one shown on the order summary, just before payment. Any promotional code is deducted there.
4.4. If your card is not in euros, your bank may charge currency conversion fees; they do not depend on us.
Article 5. Order and conclusion of the contract
5.1. Steps. To order:
- create and preview your calendar;
- click "Send", then enter the recipient's first name, their time zone and, if you wish, their email address, the date of the announcement and a PIN;
- check the summary: product, price, door opening dates, access period;
- enter your email address (if not already done), then tick the box accepting the Terms and the box asking for immediate activation and waiving the right of withdrawal (Article 8);
- click the payment button, which shows the amount to pay, then pay on the secure page of our provider Stripe.
To use a credit from a pack, steps 2 to 4 are the same, then you click "Activate with a credit".
5.2. Correcting a mistake. Until payment, you can go back to the editor or the sending form to correct any information, or abandon the order. After payment, you can still edit the content of unopened doors, the time zone, the date of the announcement and the recipient's address (as long as the announcement has not been sent).
5.3. Conclusion. The contract is concluded when the payment is accepted. We immediately send you a confirmation email setting out the essential information of the order, the exact waiver text you accepted, and these Terms as an attachment.
5.4. Languages. The contract can be concluded in French, English or German. The language of the contract is that of the Terms you accepted.
5.5. Archiving. We keep your order, the version of the Terms and the waiver text accepted, with their date and time, for ten years. You can find your orders through the confirmation email, and this version of the Terms remains online at its permanent address.
5.6. We do not subscribe to any professional code of conduct.
Article 6. Payment
6.1. Payment is made online, when you order, through Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited), by card or by the methods offered on the payment page (for example Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link). Your card details are entered at Stripe; we never have access to them. The payment appears on your bank statement as ADVENTDOORS.COM.
6.2. Your bank may ask you to authenticate (3-D Secure). If the payment is refused or abandoned, no contract is concluded and the calendar remains a draft.
6.3. Any refund is made to the payment method used for the order, at no cost to you.
6.4. A receipt is sent to you by email. An invoice is sent to you on simple request to contact@adventdoors.com.
Article 7. Performance
7.1. The calendar is activated as soon as Stripe confirms the payment to us, usually within a few seconds and at the latest within the hour. The link is then shown on screen and in the confirmation email.
7.2. You are responsible for the accuracy of the recipient's email address and time zone that you enter, and for the person to whom you pass on the link: anyone who has the link (and the PIN, if there is one) can open the calendar. If the link is shared by mistake, replace it from the editor (link in the confirmation email).
7.3. Emails may be delayed or filtered as spam by the recipient's mailbox. The link can always be used directly, and the recipient can have it sent again from the "I lost my link" page.
Article 8. Right of withdrawal
8.1. Principle. For a distance contract, a consumer normally has 14 days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw, without giving any reason.
8.2. Waiver for immediate activation. The activated calendar is digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, whose supply begins as soon as you pay. In accordance with Article L221-28, 13°, of the French Consumer Code (and Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU), before paying you tick a box that is not pre-ticked, by which you ask for the calendar to be activated immediately, and therefore before the end of the withdrawal period, and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once it is activated. The exact text of this box, its version, and the date and time of your agreement are reproduced in the confirmation email. Once the calendar is activated, you therefore no longer have a right of withdrawal for that calendar.
8.3. Pack of three. The waiver applies to each calendar at the moment it is activated. For credits not yet used, you keep your right of withdrawal for 14 days from the purchase of the pack: each unused credit is then refunded at one third of the price paid for the pack.
8.4. If the law nevertheless grants you a right of withdrawal, for example if the calendar were considered a service, you can exercise it within 14 days of the conclusion of the contract. As you asked for performance to begin immediately, you then owe an amount proportionate to the service provided up to your request, compared with the total price (Article L221-25 of the French Consumer Code). We refund you the rest.
8.5. How to do it. To withdraw, use any of the following:
- the withdrawal function provided for by Article L221-21 of the French Consumer Code, labelled "Withdraw from contract here": it is at the bottom of every page of the website (adventdoors.com/en/withdrawal) and in the confirmation email. You enter your first name and surname, the order concerned and the email address where you want to receive the acknowledgement, then click "Confirm withdrawal";
- the withdrawal form in the annex, sent to contact@adventdoors.com;
- any other unequivocal statement, sent to contact@adventdoors.com.
We send you without delay, by email, an acknowledgement of receipt that sets out the content of your request, with the date and time it was sent.
8.6. Refund. We refund the sums due no later than 14 days after receiving your request, to the payment method used. The calendar concerned is then deactivated: its link stops working and its content is deleted.
Article 9. Goodwill gesture
Outside the cases provided for by law (Articles 8 and 10), no refund is due once the calendar has been activated. We may nevertheless, as a commercial gesture, case by case and without any commitment, accept a refund request: write to us at contact@adventdoors.com.
Article 10. Legal guarantee of conformity
10.1. We must supply a calendar that conforms to the contract. As the calendar is supplied continuously, from its activation until 31 January 2027, you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and digital services (Articles L224-25-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) for that whole period. During this period, you only have to prove that the defect exists, not when it appeared.
10.2. In the event of a defect, you are entitled to have the calendar brought into conformity, without undue delay, free of charge and without major inconvenience to you. If we refuse, if bringing it into conformity is unduly delayed, cannot be done free of charge or without major inconvenience to you, or if the defect persists, you can obtain a price reduction or end the contract with a full refund. If the defect is serious enough to justify it, you are entitled to this immediately. A minor defect does not allow you to end the contract.
10.3. The regulatory text presenting this guarantee (annex to Article D211-4 of the French Consumer Code) is set out in annex 2.
10.4. Report any defect to contact@adventdoors.com: we reply within two working days and fix it as quickly as possible, especially in December.
Article 11. Availability and liability
11.1. We do what is needed for the calendar to be accessible at all times, especially from 1 to 24 December. Maintenance is preferably carried out outside the door opening times.
11.2. We are responsible for the proper performance of the contract. We can only be released from all or part of our liability by proving that the non-performance or poor performance is attributable either to you, or to the unforeseeable and insurmountable act of a third party to the contract, or to force majeure (Article L221-15 of the French Consumer Code).
11.3. We are not responsible for the content you put in the calendar (Article 12), nor for the content of the websites your links point to.
Article 12. Your content
12.1. Responsibility. You alone are responsible for the texts, photos, recordings, links and other content you put in a calendar. You must comply with the content rules, which form part of these Terms. In particular:
- you must be the author of your content or have the right to use it;
- you must have the consent of the people who can be recognised in your photos and recordings and, for a minor, the consent of their parents (or of those with parental authority);
- no commercially released music in recordings or files: to share a song, use the "song" door, which opens a link to a listening platform;
- no illegal, hateful, violent, harassing or sexually explicit content, and no image of a naked child.
12.2. What you allow us to do. You keep all your rights in your content. You only allow us, for the duration of the service and in order to provide it, to host it, reproduce it and adapt it technically (resizing photos, cutting the puzzle, converting formats) and to show it to the recipient and to the people who have the link. We never publish it and never use it for our own communication without your written consent.
12.3. Guarantee. If a third party makes a claim against us because of content you placed online in breach of these rules, you are liable under the ordinary rules of law.
12.4. Moderation. We do not check content in advance. We act when we receive a report or become aware of content that is illegal or breaches the rules. Depending on the seriousness, we may remove content, suspend the calendar or, for a serious or repeated breach, delete the calendars concerned and refuse new orders. The procedure, grounds, information given to each person and remedies are described in the content rules (Article 14 of the EU Digital Services Act). A suspension for a serious breach does not give rise to a refund; if the decision is reversed, the calendar is reactivated or refunded, as you choose.
Article 13. Intellectual property
The website, the 3D scenes, the illustrations, the calendar templates and the code belong to us or are used under licence. You can freely use the templates and their texts in your calendars. Nothing else may be reproduced outside normal use of the service.
Article 14. Personal data
We process your data and the recipient's data as described in the privacy policy.
Article 15. Customer service and complaints
For any question or complaint: contact@adventdoors.com. We usually reply within two working days.
Article 16. Amicable settlement of disputes
16.1. In the event of a dispute, please first send a written complaint to our customer service (Article 15): we will look for an amicable solution with you.
16.2. If you live in another country of the European Union, the European Consumer Centre of your country can help you free of charge (network of European Consumer Centres, ECC-Net).
16.3. You can also go to the courts under the conditions of Article 17.
Article 17. Applicable law and courts
17.1. These Terms are governed by French law. If you habitually reside in another country, this choice does not deprive you of the protection afforded to you by the mandatory provisions of the law of that country.
17.2. In the event of a dispute, you can bring proceedings, as you choose, before the court of the place where you lived when the contract was concluded or when the harmful event occurred, or before any other court with jurisdiction under the law. If you live in another country of the European Union, you can also bring proceedings before the courts of your country, and we can only bring proceedings against you before those courts.
Article 18. Miscellaneous
18.1. If any clause of these Terms were declared void, the others would remain in force.
18.2. Not relying on a clause at a given time does not mean waiving the right to rely on it later.
Annex 1. Model withdrawal form

Annex 2. Legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and digital services
Translation of the text annexed to Article D211-4 of the French Consumer Code. The contractual supply period of the calendar runs from its activation to 31 January 2027.
The consumer is entitled to have the legal guarantee of conformity applied if a lack of conformity appears during a period running until 31 January 2027 (end of the supply period of the calendar) from the supply of the digital content or digital service. During this period, the consumer only has to establish the existence of the lack of conformity, not the date on which it appeared.
The legal guarantee of conformity entails the obligation to supply all updates necessary to keep the digital content or digital service in conformity during the supply period of the calendar, which ends on 31 January 2027.
The legal guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to have the digital content or digital service brought into conformity without undue delay following their request, free of charge and without major inconvenience to them.
The consumer can obtain a price reduction while keeping the digital content or digital service, or can end the contract and obtain a full refund in exchange for giving up the digital content or digital service, if:
- The trader refuses to bring the digital content or digital service into conformity;
- Bringing the digital content or digital service into conformity is unduly delayed;
- The digital content or digital service cannot be brought into conformity without costs imposed on the consumer;
- Bringing the digital content or digital service into conformity causes major inconvenience to the consumer;
- The lack of conformity of the digital content or digital service persists despite the trader's unsuccessful attempt to bring it into conformity.
The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to termination of the contract when the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies an immediate price reduction or termination. The consumer is then not required to ask first for the digital content or digital service to be brought into conformity.
Where the lack of conformity is minor, the consumer is only entitled to cancel the contract if the contract does not provide for payment of a price.
Any period during which the digital content or digital service is unavailable in order to be brought back into conformity suspends the guarantee that remained to run until the digital content or digital service is supplied in conformity again.
These rights result from Articles L. 224-25-1 to L. 224-25-31 of the French Consumer Code.
A trader who obstructs in bad faith the application of the legal guarantee of conformity is liable to a civil fine of up to €300,000, which may be raised to 10% of average annual turnover (Article L. 242-18-1 of the French Consumer Code).
The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for two years from the discovery of the defect. This guarantee entitles the consumer to a price reduction if the digital content or digital service is kept, or to a full refund in exchange for giving up the digital content or digital service.
